After forming its Strategic Advisory Group with Dr. Jennifer McEntire this March, Provision Analytics is pleased to announce its new Strategic Advisors: Joan Rosen, Sharon Beals, Donna Lynn Browne, and Courtney Cox.
Founded in 2018, Provision is a popular cloud software that streamlines food safety recordkeeping and risk management for fresh produce operations.
The new Strategic Advisors will lend their considerable industry experience to counsel Provision’s development, ensuring that its clients can effectively address growing requirements from customers, regulators, and certifications.
Courtney Cox has emerged as an industry-leading expert in compliance standards, technology, and practical food safety. With a background encompassing 12 years at Azzule Systems, PrimusLabs, and Bonipak Produce, she has consistently supported the industry with her in-depth knowledge of PrimusGFS and navigating the evolving changes in customer and regulatory requirements. She holds a degree in Biological Sciences from Tennessee Wesleyan University and is presently the Principal Consultant at Route2Comply Inc.
Donna Lynn Browne rose to acclaim as a food safety leader at Dole. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Microbiology from Cal Poly and has managed hundreds of produce operations in topics ranging from labs to complaints to training. Donna has consulted for major organizations such as Taylor Farms, and currently serves as the Senior Director of Food Safety & Social Responsibility at Naturipe Farms.
Sharon Beals brings multinational experience to the Strategic Advisory Group, having served as SVP of Food Safety & QA at Maple Leaf Foods. Holding a Bachelor of Science in Human Nutrition and Foods from Cornell, Sharon has worked in executive positions with notable companies such as CTI Foods, US Foods, Smithfield, and Tyson. Sharon now offers her expertise independently as Founder of the consultancy, SKKB.
Joan Rosen has been a leader in the produce industry for over 22 years with Chiquita Brands and Fresh Express, where she advanced global food safety practices and designed and led food safety initiatives during the launch and rapid growth of the fresh-cut produce sector. Joan was also instrumental in developing programs for other major industry players including Campbell Soup Company. Joan holds a Bachelor’s degree in Food Science from Cornell University as well as a Masters in Postharvest Physiology and Food Science from UC Davis. Since 2012, she has consulted globally for almost 100 produce and food operations via her company, JC Rosen Resources.
With Dr. Jennifer McEntire at its helm, the Strategic Advisory Group will begin its work next month, offering guidance to Provision on everything from intricate software features to anticipated regulatory changes.
